Parlier's families work the orchards and vineyards of eastern Fresno County, rely on community health centers for primary care and travel to Fresno for specialists. Pituitary problems rarely affect just one hormone. We interpret thyroid, cortisol, sex hormone, prolactin and growth hormone results together and order a dedicated pituitary MRI only when it will change the plan.

Most are benign and many make no hormones, but every one needs a hormone workup and a look at the imaging. We do that evaluation and set up the right follow-up, which is often just periodic monitoring.
It is not a recognized medical diagnosis, but the symptoms are real. We test for true adrenal insufficiency and the other causes of persistent fatigue such as thyroid disease, sleep apnea, anemia or low testosterone.
