Diabetes care in Fresno, CA
At Spring Endocrinology, diabetes management starts with you, not a protocol. Every person's diabetes behaves differently, so our team builds a plan around your labs, your schedule, your insurance and your goals. We manage type 1, type 2, gestational, LADA (type 1.5), MODY and medication-induced diabetes, including medication adjustment, insulin pump and continuous glucose monitor (CGM) setup and training, nutrition guidance and regular A1C review.

Often, yes. Prediabetes is the stage where the right changes make the biggest difference, and most people have no symptoms at all. We confirm the diagnosis with the right labs, look for the drivers behind it, such as insulin resistance, weight, sleep or other hormone problems, and give you a specific plan for food, activity and, when appropriate, medication. The goal is to bring blood sugar back into the normal range and keep it there.
Meet Our Providers
Diabetes is a long game, so our care does not stop at the first visit. We review your glucose data between visits, adjust medications and pump or CGM settings as your life changes, screen for complications of the eyes, kidneys, nerves and heart, and coordinate with your primary care provider and other specialists. Virtual follow-up visits are available for many established patients so routine check-ins fit around work and family.

A specialist visit makes sense when your A1C stays above goal on your current plan, when you have type 1 or LADA diabetes, when you use or want an insulin pump or CGM, when you have frequent low blood sugars, or when you are planning a pregnancy. Many patients see us alongside their primary care provider, and we keep that provider in the loop.
Yes. Colby Morton, FNP-C is a certified Medtronic insulin pump trainer, and the clinic works with the common CGM systems, including Dexcom and FreeStyle Libre. We handle the prescription, the training and the ongoing settings adjustments.
When they are the right fit, yes. GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 medications are powerful tools for type 2 diabetes and weight, but they are not right for everyone and insurance coverage varies. We review your history and coverage and talk through the trade-offs before prescribing.
For many people it can. Modest weight loss, more movement, better sleep and changes in what and when you eat can bring blood sugar back into the normal range. Some people also benefit from medication. We give you a specific plan and recheck your labs to see what is working.
New patients are usually seen more often while we adjust the plan, then every three to six months once things are stable. Many routine follow-ups can be done as virtual visits for established patients.
